As Above So Below: An Ayurvedic Workshop For Winter WEllness

Winter in the Northeast is tough on just about every part of our being - from our physical immunity, muscles and joints, to our emotional well-being and mental fortitude, everything feels like it's being put to the test. As we rapidly approach the winter season, we have to ask ourselves - is there another way!?

Fortunately, with the help of Ayurveda the answer is unequivocally YES! Through the lens of this ancient science of self-directed health, we'll explore the nature of the Vata dosha: what it is, what it has to do with winter, how it effects our overall health in the winter months, and how we can use this knowledge to lay a foundation for many balanced, cozy - if not enjoyable! - winters to come. The workshop will consist of an hour lecture on dietary and lifestyle practices that aim at bringing warmth and nourishment to the body, a 30-minute restorative yoga class, and some tasty Vata-balancing treats! A must for all Vermonters.
